Self-heal, Heal-all, Blue Curls, Heart-of-the-Earth, Brunella Carpenter-weed

 

The dried leaves of Prunella are often combined with other antibiotic herbs in making teas. Even a weak infusion of self heal has enough antibiotic and antiseptic effect to be an effective treatment for conjunctivitis and sties. Use the infusion in a sterile eyewash, or apply as a cool compress.
