Obesity is not just a cosmetic concern. But it is a medical problem that\nexceeds your risk of other diseases and health issues, such as high blood\npressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancers because carrying too much weight\ncan have a variety of health consequences, like higher risk for diabetes, heart\ndisease etc. In others, word obesity is an excess of body fat. Obesity occurs\nwhen you eat more calories and obesity is also known as weight gain.it can\nshorten your whole life.it can increase people\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s risk of diseases and health\nissues. In the United States, about 42% of adults are having obesity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many reasons why some\npeople have difficulty avoiding obesity. Usually, obesity results from a\ncombination of inherited factors, combined with the environment and personal\ndiet and exercise choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that even modest\nweight loss can improve or prevent the health problems associated with obesity.\nDietary changes, increased physical activity and behaviour changes can help you\nlose weight. Prescription medications and weight-loss procedures are additional\noptions for treating obesity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Symptoms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obesity is diagnosed when your\nbody mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher. To calculate your body mass index,\ndivide your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared and multiply by\n705. Or divide your weight in kilograms by your height in meters squared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For most people, BMI provides a\nreasonable estimate of body fat. However, BMI doesn&#8217;t directly measure body\nfat, so some people, such as muscular athletes, may have a BMI in the obesity\ncategory even though they don&#8217;t have excess body fat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are obese, you may have\nsleeping trouble, sleep apnea (difficulties in breathing) and gallstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What causes\nobesity?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main reason for obese is\neating more calories. Common specific causes of obesity include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Eating a poor diet of foods which is high in\nfats and calories (unhealthy diet).<\/li><li>Having an inactive lifestyle.<\/li><li>Not enough sleeping.<\/li><li>Too much little activity.<\/li><li>Consuming too many calories.<\/li><li>pregnancy (weight gained during the pregnancy\nis difficult to lose and may which can lead to obesity)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When to see\na doctor?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are worried and concerned\nabout weight-related health issues, ask your doctor about its management. You\nand your doctor can evaluate your health risks and discuss your weight-loss\noptions. And also call your doctor if you have any of the symptoms of it. And\nif you are not successful at losing weight on your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are at risk of obesity,\ncurrently overweight, you can take steps to prevent unhealthy weight gain and\nrelated health problems. Not surprisingly, the steps to prevent weight gain are\nthe same as the steps to lose weight: daily exercise, a healthy diet, and a\nlong-term commitment to watch what you eat and drink. 30 minutes of aerobic\nactivity for five days in a week will make a huge difference in your heal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are obese and want to\nprevent this then you have to maintain a healthy body, and eat a well-balanced\ndiet regularly. And also consume fewer calories as much as possible and\nincrease your daily activity time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Prevent weight gain. Moderately intense\nphysical activities include fast walking and swimming. And also check how many\ncalories you burn on a daily basis. Walk on a daily basis as much you can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow a healthy-eating plan.\nFocus on low-calorie, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid\nsweets, saturated fat and alcohol. Eat 3 regular meals in a day with limited\nsnacking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monitor your weight regularly.\nWeigh yourself regularly because People who weigh themselves at least once a\nweek are more successful in keeping weight control. This can tell you whether\nyour efforts are working and or not can help you detect small weight gains\nbefore they become a big issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be consistent. Sticking to your\nhealthy-weight plan during the week, on the weekends as much as possible\nincreases your chances of long-term success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set specific goals. To avoid\nobesity set some realistic goals for weight-loss and exercise, such as having a\nsalad in dinner and walk for 30 minutes in the evening after having dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People with obesity are more\nlikely to develop serious health problems, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Heart\ndisease and strokes<\/strong>: Obesity makes you more likely to have high\nblood pressure and abnormal cholesterol levels, which are risk factors for\nheart disease and strokes.<\/li><li><strong>Certain\ncancers<\/strong>: Obesity may excess your risk of cancer of the uterus, cervix,\nendometrium, ovary, breast, colon, rectum, pancreas, kidney and prostate.<\/li><li><strong>Digestive\nproblems:<\/strong> Obesity excessed digestive and liver problems.<\/li><li><strong>Gynecological\nand sexual problems:<\/strong> Obesity may cause irregularity in periods in\nwomen. Obesity also can cause erectile dysfunction in men.<\/li><li><strong>Sleep apnea:<\/strong> People who\nhave obesity have sleep apnea which is the temporary stoppage of breathing\nduring sleep.<\/li><li>Foods which tends to exceed the risk of\nobesity include:<\/li><li>Fast foods like noodles, pasta etc.<\/li><li>Extra (over) dairy products like milkmaid,\ncream etc.<\/li><li>foods with extra sugar, such as sweets,\npancakes and cookies<\/li><li>Foods containing hidden sugars, such as cold\ndrinks and many other packages food.<\/li><li>Sweetened juices, sodas, and alcoholic\ndrinks.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some processed food products\ncontain syrup as a sweetener, including savory items, such as cold drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Too much eating of the above\nfoods and doing too little activity will result in obesity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Obesity?
