This can affect your menstrual cycle and ovary\nfunction. Another example of this is Turner syndrome. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Severely\nover or underweight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An\neating disorder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An\nextreme exercise pattern<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bad\ndiet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pregnancy,\nbreastfeeding, and menopause can cause secondary amenorrhea. Other possible\ncauses include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some birth controls, like pills, injections, or intrauterine\ndevices. Imaging tests may see at the women&#8217;s\norgans.&nbsp; A blood test can check yours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thyroid\nfunction (thyroid-stimulating hormone, or TSH, levels)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ovary function (follicle-stimulating hormone, or FSH, and luteinizing hormone, or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.inito.com\/normal-lh-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"normal LH, levels\">normal LH levels<\/a><\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testosterone (female hormone) levels, which can detect PCOS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estrogen (female hormone) levels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Treatment\"><\/span>Treatment&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Amenorrhea treatment methods differ according to cause. You\nmay need to make adjustments in lifestyle, like diet, exercise and stress. Some\nhormonal drugs and birth control pills can help to cause a period. Others, such\nas for PCOS, can help cause ovulation. Try maintaining a balanced\ndiet and workout schedule. Whether you are under- or overweight, explore how to\nfind a balance with your doctor. Keep track of your cycles every month, until\nyou begin menstruating. This will help recognize amenorrhea early on and assist\nin diagnosing and treating you.
