World Food Day -16th October

World Food Day is observed on 16 October every year around the world in celebration of the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. Many other organizations concerned with food security, including the World Food Program and the International Fund for Agricultural Development, are widely celebrating the day.

For those suffering from hunger and the need to ensure healthy diets for all, World Food Day promotes global awareness and action.

16 October was declared as World Food Day by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1979.

How to celebrate World Food Day?
