Liver Function Tests test is performed on a sample of blood to measure level of ALT, AST, ALP, Albumin, Total Protein, Bilirubin, GGT, LD and PT in blood.It is performed to confirm Alcoholism, Cirrhosis and Jaundice and also during treatment and after treatment of Alcoholism, Cirrhosis and Jaundice.

No special preparation is needed for LFT Test. Inform your doctor if you are on any medications or have any underlying medical conditions or allergies before undergoing LFT Test. Your doctor depending on your condition will give specific instructions.
The normal result for LFT Test for ALT is 7 to 55 units per litre for Unisex gender and for All age groups. AST is 8 to 48 U/L for Unisex gender and for All age groups. ALP is 45 - 115U/L for Unisex gender and for All age groups. Albumin is 3.5 - 5 g/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups. Total Protein is 6.3 - 7.9g/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups. Bilirubin is 0.1 - 1.2 mg/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups. GGT is 9 - 48U/L for Unisex gender and for All age groups. LD is 122 - 222U/L for Unisex gender and for All age groups. PT is 9.5 - 13.8 seconds for Unisex gender and for All age groups.
