1. Coconut Oil and Curry Leaves

One of the time-tested treatments for white hair is applying a mixture of coconut oil and curry leaves. This treatment can be done on a daily basis. Take ½ a cup of curry leaves and 1/8 cup of coconut oil in a saucepan. Bring it to boil at medium flame. Keep the pan aside till the mixture has cooled down to the room temperature. Gently massage this mixture onto your scalp and leave for 20 minutes. Wash your head with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.

2. Gooseberry

Indian gooseberry (amla) works in excellent manner to prevent and restore premature white hair. You can take amla for white hair anytime you want and in many ways. To get started, cut few amlas into pieces and dry them in shade. Now boil the dried amla pieces with coconut oil until they turn soft and grey in colour. Gently massage your hair with this oil. Another way of using ayurveda for premature graying is to soak the dried amla pieces in water overnight. Next morning use this water to rinse your hair. Take a tablespoon of lime juice, amla and almond oil. Mix few drops of lime juice to it and apply on your scalp. You can safely keep this mixture in refrigerator for 72 hours. Gently massage on scalp and leave for 45 minutes. Wash your head with cool water and moisturising shampoo. For best results apply this mixture on daily basis.

3. Paste of Buttermilk and Curry Leaves

Another effective topical treatment for premature greying and white hair is mixture of buttermilk and curry leaves. You just need to mix a tablespoon of curry leaves to a cup of buttermilk. Apply on your scalp and massage gently. Wash after 30 minutes. Buttermilk and curry leaves will not only help reduce the greying of hair, it will also make your hair grow smoother and stronger. It will help moisturise your hair without any harmful side effects that chemical may usually cause.

4. Natural Hair Colour Henna

One of the most common and effective solution for your white hair problem is Henna, a natural hair colour that can be use for colouring white hair. It affects the natural lustre and elasticity of the hair. Natural henna contributes to healthier hair and scalp and also protects from sun damage.  As opposed to chemical based hair colouring solutions, using henna for long will not pose any risk of hair damage. You can rely on this safe and completely natural hair colouring remedy for your grey hair.

5. Mixture of Carrot Seeds Oil and Sesame Oil

Another effective and natural ayurvedic remedy to get back the lost colour of your hair is mixture of carrot seeds oil and sesame oils. This treatment can be done on regular basis. Take ½ tablespoon of carrot essential oils and 4 tablespoon of sesame oil. Mix both the oils and then apply to your scalp and roots of hair. Massage the natural mixture onto the scalp and roots of your hair gently. Leave it on for around 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with warm water and wash with a gentle shampoo and conditioner. This treatment can be used once per day, as long as it doesn’t cause any irritation. The unused portion can be kept in refrigerator for about a month.
