Conventional medical treatment is often expensive and may also have dangerous side effects. So, here are some quick and easy home remedies to get rid of acne.
1. Aloe Vera gel
There are so many health benefits of Aloe Vera. It contains cleansing compounds that are a boon to our skin. Regularly applying aloe vera gel on the skin has proven effective in eliminating acne. You can apply this gel directly on your skin as a moisturizer to get rid of acne. It also nourishes the skin and enhances its glow.
2. Cucumber Ice
Make cucumber paste in your blender and freeze it as cubes. This can be used for very painful reddish inflammatory pimples to calm them down and bring you relief from the pain immediately.
3. Tea tree oil
This is the solution for all types of bacteria; Tea Tree Oil is mainly useful on acne scars, with studies showing it to be as effective as benzoyl peroxide – the most common over-the-counter acne medication. Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial – it immediately soothes skin infections, itchiness and redness.
4. Egg whites
Egg whites have been declared as a home remedy for wrinkles and acne defects — some people whip them into a meringue and either let it dry on their face or combine the egg whites with other DIY ingredients. As this dries, it does form a film on the skin that gives a 'tight' feeling. But any reduction in wrinkles would be very temporary (think about minutes after washing this off).

5. Green Tea
A high concentration of antioxidants is what makes green tea safe to drink and can also be a useful tool when applied to your face to treat acne. It’s been shown to have possible antibacterial properties and help reduce inflammation as well. Some studies have even shown that it could help reduce oil production. Instead of drinking it, make a pot of green tea, and then allow it to cool before applying it to your face with a cotton pad after cleansing.
6. Use papaya
You will see papaya in many beauty products as it is a natural remedy for acne. Papaya removes excess lipid and dead skin from the skin surface, clearing the skin and leaving it smooth. The enzyme papain in papaya helps prevent pus formation and reduces inflammation. All you need is a fresh papaya.
Honey’s antibacterial properties may help improve acne. On the affected areas apply a teaspoon of honey, or make a mask by combining 1/2 cup of honey with 1 cup of plain oatmeal and for 30 minutes left on.

8. Follow a Low Glycemic Load Diet
A diet-acne relationship has been discussed for years.
A food’s glycemic index (GI) is a measure of how quickly it raises blood sugar.
Eating high-GI foods triggers an insulin spike which is believed to increase sebum production. High-GI foods are believed to have a direct impact on the production and frequency of acne because of that.
Foods with a high glycemic index include white bread, sugary soft drinks, cakes, doughnuts, pastries, candies, sugary breakfast cereals and other processed foods.
Foods with a low glycemic index include fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and whole or minimally processed grains.
9. Grape Cleanser
Grapes are a refreshing snack, whether eaten plain as a snack, halved as a salad topping, or frozen as a healthy dessert. But grapes likely don’t come to mind when you think of acne treatments.
Yet according to an article published in April 2016 in Advances in Dermatology and Allergology, resveratrol in the skin of red grapes may exhibit bactericidal activity against Cut bacterium acnes. Formerly called Propionibacterium acnes, C. acnes is a bacteria in the sebaceous glands that contributes to acne.
So take some fresh grapes from your fridge and you've got a facial cleanser that's easy. Break-in half two or three grapes and rub the flesh over your face and neck.
10. Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is a natural, waxy substance extracted from the seeds of the jojoba shrub.
The waxy substances in jojoba oil can help regenerate damaged skin, and it can also help speed up healing of wounds, including acne lesions.
Some of the compounds in jojoba oil might help to reduce skin inflammation, which means it may reduce redness and swelling around pimples, whiteheads, and other inflamed lesions.
