About Me

Dr. Rajiv Kumar Bansal is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Pediatrics at SDMH. His career in Pediatrics spans over more than 30 years.

A College and University Gold Medalist and merit holder, Dr. Bansal also topped the Rajasthan Public Services examination (RPSC) for medical officers. He has more than 40 publications to his credit and has presented papers and chaired sessions at various national and international conferences. He is an invited faculty at various national conferences in India. He has also contributed chapters in various books of pediatrics.

Dr. Bansal is in-charge of Thalassemia Unit at SDMH and is trained in Thalassemia at Cyprus and has actively worked in developing awareness and services for Thalassemics at Jaipur.

He has a keen interest in Neonatology, Thalassemia, Pediatric Hematology, Growth and Pediatric Respiratory Diseases.

In recognition of services provided by him to Children of Jaipur and beyond, he was awarded Fellowship of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (FIAP) in 2010. In pursuit of knowledge, he has extensively travelled to various parts of the world.
