Glucose Tolerance Test test is performed on a sample of blood to measure level of GTT in blood.It is performed to confirm Diabetes and Prediabetes and also during treatment and after treatment of Diabetes and Prediabetes.

Inform your doctor if you are on any medications, have any allergies or underlying medical conditions before your Glucose Tolerance Test. Your doctor will give specific instructions depending on your condition on how to prepare for Glucose Tolerance Test. You will need to fast for about 10 hours, give the blood sample, and then take 75g of glucose in 1L of water.
The normal result for Glucose Tolerance Test for GTT is 60 - 100 mg/dl (Fasting glucose), < 200 mg/dl (After one hour) and < 140 mg/dl (After two hours) for Unisex gender and for All age groups.
