About Me

Dr. Ramesh Roop Rai is a well experienced and senior consultant Gastroenterologist associated with Fortis Hospitals, Jaipur. He is the first DM Gastroenterologist in Rajasthan, he worked in various projects and has published over 98 research papers in National & International Journals. He has been instrumental in designing and manufacturing for various procedures of Gastroenterology. Dr. Ramesh was elected as the president of Indian Society of Gastroenterology 2007-2008, he was a pioneer to start first DM course in Gastroenterology SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

Dr. Ramesh Roop Rai is the first DM Gastroenterology specialist in the State of Rajasthan. He did his DM from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS). He has worked as professor and Head of  Department of Gastroenterology at SMS Medical College, Jaipur for 15 long years. He has been involved in various research projects and has published 98 research papers in National & International journals like British Medical journal, American Journal of Gastro, World Journal of Gastroenterology, Indian Journal of Gastroenterology etc. Owing to his academic excellence he has been chosen as member of editorial board of World Journal of Gastroenterology. He was elected as the President of Indian Society of Gastroenterology 2007-08. He was also the pioneer in starting first DM course in Gastroenterology at SMS Medical College, Jaipur and has trained 19 DM post graduates. He has been instrumental in designing and manufacturing indigenous instruments for various procedures of Gastroenterology.
